“Technical Debt” what is it?

A tweet from Laura Thompson prompted me to find out a little more about the term “Technical Debt”

Everyday life equivalent of technical debt is when you shove stuff in cupboards before family visit, telling yourself “I’ll sort this later”

Although the term is used within software development circles, it is a term that could conceivably be leveraged in any business context when referring to systems, processes or effort.

It’s now firmly embedded in my repertoire. Thanks Laura.
